ConKerr Cancer Pillowcase Party 11/02/13 in West Sand Lake, NY

I live in OH but the woman who started ConKerr Cancer Pillowcase is a friend of a friend. I made some pillowcases when I found out.

They are fun to make. We've also used the same pattern to then convert into a pillowcase dress forLittle Dresses for Africa.

I sent seveal dozen to her last year, she did not notify me this year but when I emailed her she told me about locals here in Dallas area.. that is something we all have small fabric pieces that can make the travel cases and the standard ones... I love it because I have plenty of fabric but not a lot of cash...

We do this at work once a month. I work at Kohls and it is one of our "A team" events. The ConKerr Cancer ladies bring sewing machines and ironing board and iron and fabrics and we sit and sew in the break room and Kohls donates $500 to them. Its always so much fun! What a great cause! If you have a Kohls in your area have your ConKerr Cancer reps contact them!
