Final Plans for Get Together

On Saturday, October 22, 2011, East TN Board Members will meet for an early lunch at 11:00 a.m. (Eastern Standard Time), at T.G.I. Friday's Restaurant, 135 Northshore Drive., Knoxville, TN 37919 (865-450-8818). After lunch, we will go to Mammaw's Thimble Fabric and Quilt Shop, 4319 Papermill Drive, Knoxville, TN 37909 (865-588-8818). Mammaw's Thimble's owner is excited that we are coming and said we could use their board room to visit after we do a little shopping!

Directions to TGI Friday's. Exit Interstate 40E/75S at Papermill Exit 383. Turn onto Papermill go East heading to Kingston Pike. Stay in the two left lanes of Papermill (stay in outside lane). Go straight ahead through traffic light. Restaurant is on right on Papermill. Pull up a map on Goggle Maps or whichever map system you like to use. Anyone from Knoxville area feel free to give better directions.

I am so excited about our get together and am looking forward to meeting each of you.

Be sure to bring some pieces of your work to share, if you would like to.

I hate I'm already committed for that weekend, but maybe I can catch the next one, if there is one.Would love to meet everyone.I hadn't heard about this before.

Audrey, if everyone enjoys this event, we might plan something else in the Spring. I put notices on the Main Topic page and on the Off-Site Events page two or three times. We need to think about how to better publicize the next event. So glad you found us.

I'm in southwest Virginia close to Bristol.... I wish I had known earlier about the get together!

If you don't mind a DH tagging along, I can attend. I need to use a wheelchair rather than standing for any length of time and he offered to come and push me around in Mammaw's. He's also a pretty good enabler when it comes to buying fabric!!

I live in Bristol and would like to come, but have already made plans for this weekend. Perhaps a notice the first of the month on this site would alert us to the meeting. I'd like to try to come in the Spring. Hoping to hear from you about a Spring meeting.
