My son qualified for the US Championship in the XTerra Cross Country triathlon! It is being run, swim and biked this weekend in Ogden, Utah and I am going!!!!!
Is anybody familiar with a good quilt store in Ogden? Of course I'm not going to a new town without visiting a quilt store! I'll have some time on Friday to visit one. My son doesn't train the next 2 days, so when I get there tomorrow we'll have some time free. I am so excited for my son! He has been very athletic since getting out of high school, but has been plagued with "conditions" since he started. He has a knee condition, arthritis in his back and problems with his ankles too. He finally found a trainer, who also trains for triathlons. He's been with the trainer since around April. He entered the first triathlon and actually qualified for the Regionals. He was thrilled and figured he didn't have a chance to go beyond and considered it a learning experience for next year's season. Amazingly, he qualified for the Nationals. We're both so jazzed and I'm so happy that the event is close enough that I can go see him. |
Sounds like a super trip. Hope you find a store and that your son does well and stays healthy.

Sooz, Probably getting to SLC or Logan is too much. But I love Brigham City. I was hoping my son and I could get up there one of the days. Is Peach City still there? Yum! :)
I lived in Utah for 10 years. About seven years around the Provo area; I graduated from BYU. Lived in Logan for 3 years; husband graduated from USU. Absolutely loved Logan! Thanks for the quilt shop info! Can't wait for that either! :-D |
