I am visiting Regina, Alberta and need some help finding some quilt shops. I would appreciate any of your favorite shops.

Regina is in Saskatchewan, not Alberta. If you google quilt shops in Regina, there's a few.

thanks for the correction, I just follow the husband and hope he knows what he is doing, I guess that is why I was having trouble finding shops on the internet. Thanks Alberta.

Just a side note here: Supposedly my grandmother was the first white baby born in Rat Portage, which is Regina now. Her family was from Norway. Dani

I live north of Regina so will try to help you. Our quilt shop in Regina, Saskatchewan is Northgate Sewing, or also called Peach Tree fabrics. It is on North end of Albert Street, west side of street. Staff is great, and very helpful, and a good selection of fabric. You will find fabric prices much higher here, I know, we spent part of the winter in Arizona, and sure liked your prices.
All three Walmart locations in Regina have also taken out their fabric departments. Besides Peach Tree we only have a couple of Fabric Lands.

Thanks for the info. I made it to fabricland and found some nice purple fabrics. Unfortuntly the RV park we stayed at did not give me any internet connections, so I was unable to read notes from my friends on this board but I am in Saskatoon now and will try and find some shops on Monday.

Too bad you didn't get to Peach Tree.
There is a nice shop in Grovesnor Park Mall, called Periwinkle Quilts. It's a nice little shop, but not as much fabric as Peach Tree. If you are going north on circle drive, and turn left(west) onto 8th street the mall is a few blocks down on the north side.
My favorite fabric land is on Preston Ave too. Turn north off south Circle drive at the Preston Ave exit and the Preston Ave Mall is a few blocks up, on the east side.
I used to live in Saskatoon years ago, but did not go there too much for years. Now both sons live in small towns just south of the city so I have had to learn how to get around again, so much has changed.
Enjoy your visit there, it's a beautiful city.

Thanks for the directions, I just got back from Periwinkle Quilts. I am building up my stash of purples ( they don't seem to be popular right now). I did find several fat quarters. thanks for all the help

If you want to get away from the prairies, go north into the tree line. Waskesiu is beautiful, or Green Water. Both are provincial parks.
Last winter we came back from Arizona through Great Falls, as we stopped to visit a son in Alberta. Used to go to Red Lodge too, skiing, years ago, and when in better shape. And regretted convincing my husband we should come home through the Bear Tooth pass one Summer!! Oooooh, guess I'm a flatlander.

Yes the hubby is an enabler, you know you scratch my back and so on. We did spend the day in the Prince Albert Nat'l Park. I would have loved to meet you but we are headed home and I am ready, you see I didn't bring my sewing machine and I feel the need to pet it. Thanks for the invite.

LOL, took my machine last winter too. Hubby wondered why?
We were in a hotel room for a month, and I probably read 6 books, and left no finger prints on TV remote!!
