Grand Rapids Michigan Show

Anyone in the Grand Rapids area? My sisters in Kentucky heard about the Grand Rapids quilt show and are interested in coming to visit so we can venture from Saginaw to GR for the show. We loved the show in Paducah Kentucky, for one reason the vendors and the opportunity to purchase fabrics at a great price. Would we have the same experience in GR? We love seeing quilts, but of course we can never have enough fabrics at reasonable prices.

Traveled a few hours last year for this show. Was well worth the trip! Tons of vendors and of course, lots of beautiful quilts to see. Hoping to go again this year.

Thanks for the information. I went to the sewing show in Novi last year and enjoyed that but it was a lot of sewing embellishments more than quilting. I will tell them to come up based on you info.

GR show is AQS so you know it is going to be good. I went for 2 days last year, this year it will be for 3 days. We are going to Gerald Ford museum and Meijer Gardens too. Our guild goes, the rooms at the hotels are 114 per night and you can put 4 to a room, makes it affordable.

You will enjoy the Meijer Sculpture garden. I am planning on going to the show but just for one day.

vettegirl, I live in Brooklyn also. I will be going on the bus with the Jackson Trippers. $59 for breakfast, bus ride and entrance to the show (dropped off out front and get to bypass the line). It beats paying gas and the drive over there. We leave at 8am from the West side KMart and arrive back home about 6:30 pm.
