I leave Idaho tomorrow and will be in the Justice, IL area til Thursday. Then on to Charlottesville, VA. Do you know of any quilt shops near these cities that I might be able to visit? My brother is celebrating his 60th Birthday and our Mother is flying in from CA too to help celebrate. We'll be busy, but I hope to squeeze in a shopping trip to check out the shops.

If you are going down 55 or 57 and catching 74 across to Indianapolis be sure and take Bowman Ave. Exit on the E. side of Danville. Go South to the stop sign then turn right onto Perrysville Rd. Follow that around (it curves) to the next stop sign. Go straight 4 blocks and Threads of Time will be on your right. It's a wonderful store open from 9-6 except Saturdays when they close at 3 and I'm not sure about Sundays. They're phone number, if you're in area, is 217-413-9202 or 866-431-9202. Be sure and tell them Alfreda sent you. (with a long e sound). They're only about 3 or 4 minutes off the highway and very easy to find. It's a beautiful shop. Be sure and stick a pin on the map to show where you came from.

If you're taking 80 across there's a place in Northern Ohio called The Door Mouse. TONS of fabric, normal LQS prices, very crowded.

I wish I was driving because I'd be able to stop and see. But I'll be flying to both IL and VA.

There's a shop called Cottonwood in Charlottesville, which is only about 40 minutes from me :) Have fun and be safe!

In Willowbrook, IL there is a WONDERFUL quilt shop, quiltfabric.com. It is on 75th Street, at Route 83 (Kingery HWY). It's closed on Mondays and I'm sure you can get more info if you google it. The owner, Chris Sass is very knowledgeable and helpful. And Willlowbrook is real close to Justice; I live in Hickory Hills which is right next to Justice. Happy Birthday to your brother! Belles

I just returned from VA today. Found a quilt shop not far from Charlottesville, in Madison, VA. "The Little Quilt Shop" is in an old church. The young woman who waited on me was a newbie to quilting and couldn't have been nicer. I sure would recommend that shop to anyone visiting the area.
