Anybody going to do the Laissez le Bon Temps Rouler shop hop in south LA Aug 14 - 15?

Amelia's and Fabric Crazy in Baton Rouge; Mama's in Independence; Borne Quilter in Lafayette; Quilt Niche in Houma (I don't know if the shop in Covington is included this time). Passports are available in the shops for $5 - they get stamped at each shop and turned in at the last one you visit to be entered for prize drawings. Each shop usually has little giveaways and a pattern. It's fun to get several quilters together and make a Friday/Saturday trip.

Too far away for me. Sigh

I am a newbie to quilting and have never done this before. Is it ok to bring hubby to this? lol Do you have to visit EVERY store or can you just visit a couple? This sounds like fun!

Sounds like fun, and I bet hubby will be ready for a break around then. He is always up for a trip to Louisiana

If DH is willing and doesn't mind if the LQS are pretty crowded, yes he can go with you - there's usually a few hubbys browsing or just sitting, watching, and waiting patiently! You can go to as many as you like, this is the first time Borne Quilter has participated in this hop.

The Borne Quilter has been in other Shop Hops. Renee and Keith have an awesome shop!! Since this Shop Hop is 3 days I wish they would of included the shops in Central La.
