My sister has been relocated(job) to Macon, Georgia. Her home will be near the old Macon Mall. She found a JOANN'S there & a HANCOCKS close by.All the rest of her family is back here in OHIO. Any great LQS ,shop hops,or guilds to recommend in the area?? GOTTA keep her busy,LOL!!

Your sister is within 35 miles of me! Sorry, but we really don't have any quilt stores anywhere near us. We used to have one small one, but it closed. We do have the Joanns, Hancocks, and there is a small place off of Riverside Drive behind Texas Cattle Company. It is really a sewing machine place but also has fabric. There is another sewing machine place next door to the Hancocks in Macon that has really nice fabric too.

Warner Robins is only about 20 miles from Macon and has a new Hancock's next door to Hobby Lobby... plus there is a place called Sewing Creations (never been there, but was told about it at a quilt show) at 1740 Watson Blvd.

I'm sure there are at least 2 quilting guilds up there. She could probably find them on the internet... I live so far out that I have never tried joining one of those.

Tell her welcome to Central GA! Maybe one day we could make arrangements to meet up at one of the places in Macon.

The is a wonderful quilt shop in the Old Macon Mall. magical stitches. Two great ladies you will love to meet: Linda= owner and Lynn works with her. They have great fabric , classes etc..

There is a quilt guild in Macon. i don't belong because it meets during the day.

I do belong to Crossroads Quilt Guild in Perry, Georgia. It is about 30 mile south. Great Guild and we would love to have her join.

Lynn and Lynda are members.

Welcome to Middle Georgia!

Also, tell her to look up A Scarlet thread. It is off 75 about 40 miles north.

We also have Sewing Creations in Warner Robins. She sells fabric and has classes. She is a Viking and Baby Lock Dealer.

We will keep her busy!
