For you gals coming to the Maine Quilt show and going to Mardens....I was in there today, and they are certainly working hard getting ready for you all. They were cutting and making little piles of fabrics to sell as packs; and they did a little rearranging....looking good! I picked up a few half yard Civil War prints by Judy Rothermel...can't complain at $2.99 a yd!

Which Marden's did you go to? I went to Lewiston the other day - the new one in Scarborough has more fabric than others I have seen.

I went to the one in Lewiston, as that is where I was shopping yesterday. Will check out the one in Scarborough when I bring my grandson to Cabela's, hopefully. A friend and I were very impressed with the set-up of the fabric dept. in the Ellsworth Marden's when we went last year.

I was in the Scarborough one on Sunday, HUGE fabric section full of truly beautiful fabrics.

I shop the one in Waterville. The girls are super nice and I just love their selection. I was in Lewiston today and saw the packs and wonder if the Waterville store will have them as well. I did figure out that they equal out to the same price as if you chose your own fabric's, $3 per yard.

I shop the one in Sanford. They are great and very helpful.

I really think the Lewiston store is doing extra because they know the gals from the quilt show will be stopping by. They asked me to report what feedback I get on here after the show.

Mardens. Oh I love Mardens. When I was in Maine I hit 3 of them. What a store. I wish we had one here. My friend lives
by the one in Presque Isle. She frequents that one all the time.
I'm jelious. ;-)

dglvr, my friend from Washington state is thinking about coming to visit me next summer and hopefully I will get to take her to the Maine Quilt Show and Mardens in Lewiston.

Where in Washington is she? Maybe I'll hitch a ride. Does she need someone to carry her luggage?
