Northwest Quilting Expo - Portland, OR
I only have 1 day (and maybe less) to go to the NW Quilt Expo in Portland next weekend. I've never been and am wondering what (if any) are the must see-do things at the Expo.

I usually look at the quilts on display first - I always take my camera - take a picture of the label, then full view of the quilt and any close-ups that I may want. With my digital I can always delete any that I don't want to keep. I won't be able to go this year (hubby has vacation this week and he has other plans - camping) so have fun for me.
I do look through the vendor booths, but have chosen to purchase only things I know I will make in the next 90 days! That sure cuts down on what comes home with me. I usually wear a small backpack so my hands are free and my purse isn't slipping off my shoulder all day long. Lunch there can be expensive and the last time I was at the Expo they wanted $3 for a bottle of water - I take my own lunch and a water bottle with me. Call me cheap, but I would rather spend my money on fabric than water! |
Great tips, w7sue! Thank you!

Well Sally,
I was just told that I was going on Friday with my "Partner in Crime" Karen Barnes. LOL!!!! So though I won't be there on Saturday, my spirit will still be there from Friday. Have a great time! Faith:) Also a WOMBAT !! |
I would like to go but don't have anyone to go with me. My husband is not interested so I need someone to go with. Anyone out there in the Vancouver/Portland area want to tag along with me? I would be happy to do the driving. Let me know. . .
