Quilt Shops in/around Sacramento CA
I'm heading to Sacramento later this month and wanted to know where there are some great quilt stores. Can anyone help?
-justme always looking for fabric!:) |
I'll ask my SIL She lives in Roseville - very near to Sac
|
When I go to Sacramento I always stop in at Bear Paws and Holly Hocks. Great store.
Here is a link for a shop hop (last April) but it has lists of Sacramento area quilt shops. Bear Paws and Holly Hocks is listed with all its information. http://www.beehivequilts.com/renegaderun |
There is Quilters Corner off Bradshaw Road area, ThistleDew in the old Fair Oaks area, Country Sewing Center in Elk Grove, Runs With Scissors in Citrus Heights, Sew Fun in Folsom, Shared Stitches in Shingle Springs, and High Sierra in Placerville. From the center of Sacramento most of these will be less than a half hour away. The Shingle Springs and Placerville stores are closer to an hour away but worth the drive.

Not to forget the Beverly's in Carmichael (NE Sacto off of Sunrise Blvd). It's huge and worth looking at. There are a number of avid quilters in the area who use all of these stores.
It's worth the trip! |

Quilt shops in Sacramento
I will be in Chico in a couple of weeks.....what quilt shops should I put on my "must visit" list?
LoisMarie in Oregon (ps there is a great quilt shop in Roseville - 18 miles from Sacramento....but I can't think of the name.) |
Honey Run Quilters inside of Cathy's Sew& Vac heading north on Cohasset Rd (which is off of Hwy 99) and Rabbit Hole, on the Esplanade, just north of East Ave. Both are carry different fabrics.

this is the reason i don't shop for inferior fabric at big box stores, like joann, walmart, etc. i support local quilt shops, because more would disappear if i don't, the quality of the fabric is the best and the staff gets to know me if i spend a little time there every once in awhile. it's nice to be known. |
Well I know it says I am from Nevada but I spend my weekends in Sac Area. I shop a lot at a quilt shop in Lincoln, CA
(less than 17 miles north of Roseville/Sacramento area). It is called Angel Quilter. Here is the information... Angel Quilters www.angelquilters.net Address: 6011 Nicholas Road Lincoln, CA 95648 Also if you are coming from Chico via Highway 99 then just hop on Highway 65 in Maryville/Yuba City area to Roseville on your way in. |

-justme always looking for fabric!:) So glad someone asked this questions recently...we to are heading to Sacramento in about 10 days to visit with our son who is in the Air Force, stationed at Beale, living in Grass Valley. As I am a quilter and my husband is a fireman, we always tend to look for quilt shops and fire stations next to each other or close by. Thanks for the useful information. Google came up with 211 results but I would rather know where others are shopping and what they like. THANKS AGAIN. |
