DH and I are leaving for 4 days tomorrow evening and will be staying in a cabin in the Hocking Hills area of Ohio. It is in the southeast corner of OH and it looks like there is lots to do. Does anyone know if there are any quilt shops in the area? We will have no internet access once we get there so I hope some of you reply this evening/morning. Sorry this is so late in the day. I posted another one earlier but didn't see it anywhere in the Recent Topics. Thought I'd try again.l Thanks for any help anyone can give.

Hi from Ohio! I'm not sure about quilt shops in that area but you could google and you might get some hits. They usually have maps to go with. Just a thought.

Thanks. We got their Visitors Guide online but it didn't show any quilt shops. I've found sometimes they don't. I can't imagine anywhere not having a shop especially where they have lots of visitors. Take care.

Hocking hills is a magical place, My favorite vacation place. Logan as well as the surrounding communities are amazing . Unfortunatly I did not do any shopping the week I was there ,mostly hiked. Alot of times the property owners know of all of the shops. I do know there are lots of unique little shops. I went to a couple windchime shops that were amazing. If You find a quilt shop let us know,I take day trips to hocking hills to hike and take pictures. It is about two hours drive for me.Have fun,and enjoy the amazing scenery!

I appreciate all the tips. I'm pretty excited about going and it looks like a wonderful area. Last time we rented a cabin was on our honeymoon, 36 years ago. DH had a brochure that showed a beautiful cabin. We got there and 3 of the 4 walls were there, the 4th was a wall made of blankets! DH was so upset, it was supposed to go down into the 40's in Gatinburg. They ended up putting in another building but he has never rented anything like that again. This time he actually asked if the picture was an accurate representation of the property, lol. Apprently it was just built in March of this year so it should be really nice. If weather holds out, it will be perfect although it will be great just to get away and spend time w/him. Thanks again and if I do find any quilt shops, I'll be sure to share their locations.

Woolen willow is a cute store. Very friendly people. Funny story, we were traveling from Virginia to northern Ohio, where we live. My husband said he was tired and needed to stop and rest. So we pull into the welcome center, hubby goes to the back of the motor home to sleep. What do I see? A sign saying woolen willow quilt shop! I call to ask where they were and the lady said about a quarter mile from the hightway....walking distance!!! You see, hubby is a drag racer, I walk miles every weekend at the track, this will be easy. Grand daughter and I hike up the road, what an adventure...until we find out it is one and and half miles! I made sure I looked at everything, because I was not going to walk one and a half miles back to the motor home and think to myself " gosh, I should have checked to see if they have_____". I looked, I bought and we walked. I did tell the lady that the next time she gave directions that I might suggest (in a very sweet, humorus voice) that she know how far she is actually located. She laughed and was very apologetic. She did not realize we walked there. Hubby said he would have driven us there after his nap, but the area around the shop was so small there was no place to turn our motor home around...we are 70 feet long with both it and the trailer! Quilting adventures... Love them.
