The Reno Quilt show is July 17th and 18th at the National Automobile Museum. Last year it was so much fun! Is there anyone coming from the board?

Bumping up for the weekend.... LOL I really want to meet up with some of the board members who are attending.

This sounds like so much fun...DH and I visited the Auto Museum while on a vacation trip to Reno/Tahoe by way of California. Just had a conversation with him after reading your post...he was smilin'...and then I asked him if he'd like to go visit the museum again..."Why?"....well, there's a quilt show in July....he decided he needed to go move the water sprinkler...guess I'll have to try again later to get him to commit! We no longer fly and that's a really long drive...have done it a couple of times...but I LOVE your part of Nevada so it is not out of the question entirely. It was a fun trip for him too so keep your fingers crossed!
For those of you that have not been to Reno/Tahoe....PLEASE consider visiting this beautiful area... Lake Tahoe is breathtaking to see and even more amazing when you get a few facts about it...awesome! We also went to the Ponderosa, Virginia City, Carson City....LOVED Carson City!

Okay, RedGarnet222, how'd I do? I'm sure you can think of some more things to build some more interest to get some more members to plan a trip out for the show...BTW, whose show is it?

I am sorry I haven't answered you before now. I was a little busy this last week sewing for the golf tournement silent auction and babysitting. Ok, I forgot to check too, sorry.

The quilt show is the truckee meadows quilt show. It will have a few quilt groups represented, and others who don't belong to a guild. It is not a requirement that you belong to a guild to participate. So I think that makes it fun.

You are so right about the area having loads of sight seeing spots to visit within just an hours drive in any direction. Also, there are many many quilt shops to spend your spare time in. LOL!

If you two decide to come, please let me know, I promise you don't have to have your pic taken with me, and shown, unless you want to. LOL!
