Hi Oregon/Washington Quilters;
Early last spring I invited everyone to our home for the Sept. Open House. I didn't know at the time that we'd have 2 weddings in Sept. plus our local quilt group retreat at the beach which has been scheduled for the last week in Sept. since January. Nor did i know that I'd be having hip surgery which is done but I'm still unable to walk without a walker and have just started PT. There's just too much happening and I feel terrible about begging off for Sept. but I just don't think I'll be able to do it. I'm so sorry.

Feathers, you have a lot going on. I truly feel your retreat couldn't come at a better time for you. Enjoy! If we weren't moving the winery and bottling 1200 cases before the end of Sept I would volunteer to have everyone up to the house for our gathering. Perhaps next get together. Have you had any response from anyone who would like to host it?

Feathers, don't feel bad about it. We all hope you are up and walking soon.

September should work at my house up the hill from Banks.

I'll be through with "our" wedding. And it is too early for snow : )

Did we have a date picked out? Is a Sat or Sunday better?

The 18th or 19th works good for me, but could also do the 11th (altho DH would complain since I will be gone all day on the 12th - but that's nothin' I can't deal with! :lol: )

2 Doods: Thank you so much for stepping up and picking up the ball that I dropped. I will not be able to attend but I will keep you all in my thoughts and will miss not being a part of this fun open house activities. Feathers

We may be driving south to visit our offspring in September so I can't make definite plans yet, but if possible I'll be there! Thanks for offering to have the gathering, Alice. Will that be the last gathering this year? Once we get into November, people are usually pretty busy.

Thanks 2 Doods for stepping in and letting us meet at your place. Saturdays seem to work better for me but can make Sunday work as well. Looking forward to getting together.
