Sewing on Super Bowl Sunday...Benton, Kentucky -- come on down and join us :)

ARE YOU A FOOTBALL FAN? (NOT)

NEED TO GET AWAY FROM THE 14 HOURS OF PREGAME ACTIVITIES?

SOLUTION:

COME TO THE SUPER BOWL PARTY AT ODDS & ENDS, FEBRUARY 3, 2013, FROM 1-5ish. You will have plenty of time to get home to see the game (if you really want to).

We will eat (you're welcome to bring finger foods but not required), play games, shop, visit, maybe gossip-a little, work on a puzzle, laugh and whatever. Bring your sewing machine and work on your project or learn a new project.

If you would like to make a snap bag, Laura will teach a mini class.

Please bring the following for the class.

1 - 8" x 10 1/2" outer fabric
1 - 8" x 16" lining fabric
2 - 3" x 3" squares lining fabric
thread to match outer fabric
sewing machine

Odds & Ends is located in Benton, KY next to Leon Riley Ford. If you get lost, give us a call and we'll get you here

Hope to see you there if you're in the area....make a special trip if you really want out of the house
;)

How fun would this be?!?! Too bad I am too far away to join in

I, too, live too far away to join you, BUT after I get off work at 2, I'll be with you in spirit. I plan to listen to the game and quilt. When a commercial comes on, I'll go in to watch it and then go back to my quilting while the game is on. BTW the best part of being divorced is I don't HAVE to watch each and every football game. :D

I like to sit next to my husband and do binding during the big games. It makes him happy to have the company, and I get something done.

sounds great and fun but i am too far a way.

I call it. . . . .Football Coma. Although I do like football, just not game, after game, after game, after game. . . . . .

moonwork42029 01-31-2013 06:09 PM

Would love to have you there even in spirit :)

Wow! What a great invitation, thank you! I have been invited to a quilt retreat also. I am going to pass on both as I am a huge football fan! Even bigger when my team or my dh team is in but not this year. Still my dh and I will be glued to the game. Will watch every moment, even the commericals! Go 49er's!

Could be a fun time but I'll be rooting for the Ravens every minute of the game!

KwiltyKahy 02-01-2013 11:33 AM

Would love to be there, but I have to work (boo)

Boy, this is one time I wish I was not in SW Florida. Sounds like fun to me. I HATE football. But, I will probably be doing some sort of sewing.

quilting party

I would love to get away from the cold and snow and actually see the sun for once in the last 2 months, but unfortunately, I live in Minnesota, the land of cold and snow.

Don't know what that part of the state will have for weather this weekend, but if it's like here, you would feel right at home. Supposed to snow pretty much all weekend.

How great this would be if every community held parties like this during the bowl game!! I don't know anything about football and relegate myself to the den and do our taxes during the game because I'm not allowed to walk in front of the TV or ask any questions or talk while it's on. This would be a fun thing for the rest of us who sew or quilt.
