what are the best quilt shops in portland?

DH and I are headed to Portland this weekend and want to find the best quilt shops, and fishing stores. We know about The Fabric Depot, I am very much looking forward to this trip!

The Sewing Room / Tea Time Calicos is located in Beaverton in the Fred Meyers complex right off Hwy 217, and Canyon Road.

There used to be a number of GREAT QS in the area, but so many of them couldn't keep up with the rise in prices. You might also try the Mill End Store. I've always been able to find things at nice prices. Good Luck

I know of one close to the Clackamas Town Center. Wish I could remember the name. Also if you Google quilt shops portland or you will find more.

Be careful if you do a search though. A lot of quilt shops are closing and coming up on a search does not mean they are still open. Voice of experience here.

If you want to go to the Disneyland of quilt shops, go to Hollyhill Quilt Shoppe in west Linn OR. You can't believe how gorgeous it is. A feast for the eyes. The address is: 1914 Willamette Falls Dr. They are closed Mondays and Sundays. It is well worth the trip. If you like thai food, there is the best restaurant on the same block.

I forgot to mention, many of the Moda Fabrics design team go to Hollyhill to teach seminars. They love it too. I went to one by Joanna Figueroa. My BFF and I go for special occasions. Again, it is gorgeous!
