Howdy Alberta! I live in Great Falls, Mt and yes there are shops in Havre.

Bearly Square Quilting: 220 3rd Ave. Phone: 406-265-4424
    Heritage Quilting: 117 1st Street. Phone: 406-265- 3323

I Think there is a Ben Franklin on main street and they sell fabric also. I have not visited these shops but give it a try. There is no Joanne's but come to Great Falls and we have 5 quilting stores.

Thanks for the info! My niece's hubby has a business postal box in Havre. She offered to let me use it if there were items that iIwanted that the retail store would not ship to Canada or if the shipping cost was way too much. She goes down about every 6 weeks. I just ordered some things from JoAnn's. So I will offer to go with her if her hubby does not want to go. I thought that if I go i might as well check out the quilt shops! Not sure if we will go to Great Falls. How far is it from Havre to Great Falls? Knowing my niece she may well want to go as she is a "power shopper" and seems to have a built in guidance center for finding deals! So just in case i get to Great falls what and where are the good quilting shops and Joanne's?

Great Falls is about 100 miles but on the way there is a quilt store called "The Quilting Hen" in Carter and it is worth the visit.
