Default John Deer and Adorable Ideas Seminar in Hawaii -- Fall 2012

There is a great opporunity for quilters, and embroidery folks to attend a very special two-day event this fall -- we have been able to schedule two seminars with the John Deer Adorable Ideas group -- we are so pleased to offer such a wonderful deal---the dates are Oct.27-28 in Kauai; and Nov. 3-4 in Hilo. Special accommodation rates ($80 per night!) and the EARLY registration fees are $79 FOR BOTH DAYS...it is all inclusive -- machines, notions, fabrics, and lunch provided -- along with the software package which comes with the seminar. Even the local quilters and embroidery folks are signing up now. If you want more info, see www.gotfabric.com and call one of the stores to book your space before the price for the seminar goes up. Just to let you know, I do work for one of the stores, and am proud to be a member of their staff....and enjoy visiting the Quilting Board every day!

We visited a wonderful quilt shop in Kaui. It was a single building just at the edge of a shopping area with a lovely porch across the front and when you walked thru the door it was like going into Willy Wonka's for quilters. Every space was filled.....they were hanging from the ceiling and glorious fabrics were in every available space. I think it had a wood floor but am not sure. At the time they said they were not online but I'm wondering if they are now. Are you familiar with this shop?

It's Kapaia Stitchery -- been around about 30 years! And still no website, and still a great shop. If you use their name as a google search you will pull up a few reviews on Yelp! -- and one has wonderful photographs of the shop. So glad you were able to find this store while you visited here -- it's still the gem you remember, and we are all thankful in these harder economic times to have three quilt shops still on our small island.
