This seems to be very popular, at least on the blogs I have read. I am not doing it, most places I went to had mostly applique patterns and that isn't my thing. It sounds like fun though, if you have a lot of shops you can get too.

I guess we don't have that going on here. I haven't seen it or heard anyone talking about it at least. Sounds interesting though. Post pics ok?

I am in Western Wa. and yes I am doing them. You need 8 to make a decent sized quilt or add borders or whatever. I like to piece so I am being picky and just getting mostly pieced patterns. Lots of shops here to choose from. Also I will ask friends from other areas to pick some up for me if I can't find enough pieced ones. I am looking at finding 10. I can't come up with a good use for the license plates so I haven't bought them. Any ideas???

Anyone wants to know more? Google Row by Row Experience to go to intro pages pages for it. You will be ale to see each state, get a list of participating shops and see many of the patterns they are offering.

it is another way for quilt shops to get you into their stores. I don't drive so I haven't been in to see this. There is fabric that is made for this event.

Yes I am along with 3 other friends. I don't like the patterns from all the stores. Just collecting patterns and will use the ones I like. I'm traveling to PA. later this month and am excited to visit shops there and get those designs.

I'm mostly after the license plates, though I have picked up the kit from 6 stores, but I don't know if I'll ever use them.

I'm not interested in the competition - and the bad part is DH always take our "summer vacation" in the fall. Though I do plan on stopping and asking - some places may still have plates available.

There are about 5-6 professional patterns to use the plates in. A wristlet, tote, wall hangings. Ask the shops.
