rt 11 yard crawl

On Aug. 14 there will be a real long yard sale approx. 50 miles worth between Winchester and Harrisonburg, VA. I closed my quilt shop and will be setting up at the Methodist Church in Strasburg, VA on Rt 11. Everything will be 40 to 60% off with a lot of the fabric already pre-cut in 2 yd lengths. Hope to see some of you there.

I'd LOVE to go, but it's just a bit further than I want to drive in a day. 4 hours to drive to a yard sale, then I wouldn't be able to see much, then the 4 hour drive back. :(

A GREAT BIG BOO BOO I JUST MADE. IT IS NOT STRASBURG!!!!!! It is New Market, Va. I will be in the front yard of the church along with other people who have set up for their yard sales. I will have mainly fabric, mostly precut inot 2 yard lengths, but some I will cut while there. Mainly Moda with some Haufmans, Kaufmans, Blank, Spring and other misc fabrics. I will also have ribbon, scrapbookking embellishments, sewing notions, etc. New Market is located about 15 miles north of Harrisonburg, VA on I-81 as well as on rt. 11. Hope to see some of you there.

Harrisonburg is about an 1 1/4 hours from Madison Heights, I would think.

Wow, it sounds like a blast. I heard they had a long yard sale once from Lexington KY to Phoenix City, Alabama along Interstate 75. I do not know if it is real or not but that was about 15 years ago. Wonder how to find out? Aug 14 must be yard sale day of the year. We had a hospice yard sale today in Burlington NC. It is massive and the prices are so wonderful. It's a beach being born beautiful, and not rich !!!
