In 10 days we are flying over from England to spend ten days in Toronto, Niagara Falls and Ottawa. Can anyone recommend good patchwork and craft bookshops to visit. Time will be very limited!!! Many thanks.

Wasn't quilting when we were going to Niagara Falls all the time, but wanted to say, enjoy the Falls--they are magnificent and I don't think any body can describe the power of all that water dropping that many feet. You just have to see it to understand :D.

In Toronto, there is an amazing quilt shop called Sew Sisters-you can check them out online even before you go-their prices are amazing

Prices for Quilt fabric are lower in the US. Since you will be so close it may be worth it to go across to the US.
I think you would like the Quilt Farm . When ever I am in the area it is a treat to go there.
Do note ... if you do decide to go .. do not think you are lost ...as you will be out in farm country , the shop is in a Barn. It takes up the entire barn. Excellent selections, very good pricing. Make sure you go upstairs , there is more to explore .

There is a great shop in Oshawa - I don't know how far this would be from where you are staying, however.

Ultimate Sewing Centre
191 Bloor Street East
Oshawa, Ontario, L1H 3M3

South of Highway 401, between Ritson Road and Simcoe Street at the 401 off ramp (in the No Frills Plaza).
