Default SE Louisiana Shop Hop

The Borne Quilter in Lafayette LA is hiring a bus to take quilters to 9 shops that are east of the Mississippi River. I've signed up for this trip, but need a roommate for the two nights we'll be staying at hotels while on the trip, which starts Aug. 15 and returns on Aug. 17. If you're interested in going and don't have a roomie (rooms are based on double occupancy), please let me know! I can send you all the info in a PM.

As one who lives east of the Mississippi, I'd love to know where the shops are!!

Sew This (Abita Springs)
Bright Hopes (Mandeville)
Mama's Quilt Shop (Hammond)
The Quilted Owl (New Orleans) new?
....6 others..... need to find

I've read that this year there will be 10 shops over 2 weekends. A special Laissez Les Bons Temps Rouler is something I've been hearing about.
Labee lady. any idea what city you may be staying in?

One night in Metairie, the other in Baton Rouge. Besides the ones you mentioned, there's Borne Quilter (starting point in Lafayette), the Quilt Cupboard (Morgan City), Quilting Niche (Houma), Mes Amis Quilt shop (New Orleans), Fabric Krazy (Baton Rouge), and Cottage Creations (St. Gabriel).

The shop hop will be going on for the two weekends, but the bus trip from Lafayette will only be the second weekend. You can go into any of those shops on your own and get your passport in order to have it stamped at the other shops.
