Default Update - Ricky Tims Seminar in Atlanta

Just got home a few hours ago from the Ricky Tims seminar near Atlanta. WOW! Besides the pleasure of getting to meet Ricky, Alex Anderson and Libby Lehman, there was a display of gorgeous quilts and enough new ideas to have my head spinning.

Did anyone else attend?

I am so glad you liked it and felt it was worth the money. I am signed up and paid for the May event in Rochester MI.

I am close enough to commute, so lodging was not another expense.

There were so many ideas to make your life easier. Gotta admit it would be easier to be creative when you seem to have an unlimited selection of fabrics to choose from. OTOH -- when Ricky first started quilting, he didn't have the resources but was compelled to quilt. It was great to get to see the spectacular quilts and even got to touch and feel the Bohemian Rhapsody quilt.

I cant wait to have time to just rip up some fabrics and try out the new things I learned.

I think you will feel you received value for the money. This was the most expensive quilty thing I have ever done and I am SO glad my friend convinced me to spend the money.

I'm also attending the Ricky Tims Super Seminar in Rochester, Michigan. Am so excited to have the chance to see him, Alex Anderson & Libby Lehmann....was so thrilled when I heard they were coming only 20 mins from my home. Glad you had fun & it was worth it.

Jean---Are you going with a group? I'm with Cameo but only 4 members from our group are able to attend so going to register with another Guild that is taking in registrations from others who don't have a large enough group to get the maximum discount. You belong to a guild up in the Lapeer area?
