Default Wool Fest in NH this weekend - Alpaca batting

Wow...I went to a wool fest today and it was a blast...I did find a few items there for quiling.
I bought Pacafil Quilt batting its 60 percent Alpaca and 40 percent Wool. I will use that for my questroom quilt. I heard that it is really nice and warm and easy to quilt with. I bought it from Cedar Brook Alpacas they are from Canada - website cedarbrookalpacas.com I was told they do sell on line. Once I make my quilt and wash it I will let you all know how I like it. It may be awhile before I do one for myself. I have several a head of it and....I am going to be a gramma!!!!! Yah!!! Guess I will be making a few baby quilts.

Carol, Would love to know how that batting works up. We have alpacas & sheared last yr 12 alpacas. I still have the wool in the barn to send off to have made into batting. Alot has happened this past yr so I haven't gotten it sent off. Then this Feb 5 of our neighbors dogs killed all 12 of our alpacas. We just this past week-end replaced them with 3 new ones.I fell on Jan 26 , fell & broke my elbow quite badly, have a titanium elbow put in & then April 6 had shoulder surgery, torn rotator cuffs & tendons. I am dying to use this wool as batting but it is going to be a very long time till I get back to sewing. Please let me know how you like it & was it expensive?
