I don't see any pheasants but lots of ducks! :) Are they really pink? I wonder what would have possesed them to print pink ducks.
Looks like the duck you chose might have been a stylized version of a harlequin duck...a very very striking duck by the way!! I think this quilt is begging to be finished! I LOVE the colors! :D

Oh lol...i just had him look at the pix again and he did see a pheasant...the one with a long tail...

Looks fun! I love the marbled batik you used for the boarder and in the blocks. Wonder if you gave it to someone how long would it take for them to find the 'surprise'?
