It's easy to use different prints as long as they have colors in common. Then you can arrange the blocks so the colors flow into each other or not if that's what you prefer.

I really like your Candescence quilt. Will you tell me how big your blocks are? I want to do one, but can't decide on block size.

I cut the triangles are cut at 3 3/4in Kitty, as recommended in the book.
The finished hexagons are approx 6 7/8ins x 5 7/8ins.

With the 3in borders it measures 53in by 49in. (And it's now on the wall!)
