So, it has already been determined by his parents that my new grandson is a Steelers fan. Instead of the sweet little blue and white teddy bear quilt I had in mind, I had to make a Pittsburgh Steelers quilt for a newborn. (Sigh.) He is 4 months old now, and they insist he loves it.

(I took this photo before I put on the binding, and then forgot to take another picture before giving it to them.)

It is wonderful! For my daughter's friend's first born son I made an NFL quilt with fabric from all the teams on one side and the Chargers on the other side since he was born in September. Her other son was born in the spring so I made him a MLB quilt on one side (had fabric from all the teams except DC) and the Padres on the other side.

We have to start them out early - or they may become soccer fans. (Only kidding we are into all sports in this house.)

I really really wanted to put Pittsburgh Penguins (hockey) fabric for the backing, but I looked EVERYWHERE for NHL fabric & couldn't find it!

Well, I despise American football, but I still think that your quilt is FABULOUS.
