Thread: "Floor" of the Doge's Palace, Venice

    This quilt was made from a photo I took of part of the terrazzo floor at the Doge's Palace in Venice, Italy. I was able to mimic the ancient marble and stonework by digging into my stash of batiks and landscape fabrics. I embellished it with thread painting, crystals and beads.
