I just had to share the progress on this quilt, I am so happy with the results so far. I used sulky 100 wt silk thread to echo in the areas of embroidery so as not to take away from the stitching and I just loved how it has turned out.

This is a very pretty quilt and you are doing a great job. I saw it finished at my LQS, but at the time, I thought it was too involved for me. I would love to try it when I get some of my UFOs finished.

I've been contemplating doing this quilt, have a couple questions - How did you embroider this, was it using only one thread? I saw the pattern, and it looked like you had to hand transfer it on somehow - so I backed away.

Very pretty! I like your quilting job. I would have been tempted to quilt on the black lines ... and I would have ruined it!!

I love the black "crackle" fabric on the sashing.

it was actually very easy. I taped the pattern on my window and then my fabric overtop so I could trace it with a fine tipped marker the same colour as the thread. The instructions in the pattern are very easy to follow. I just did a simple back stitch using two threads of DMC. It is a great project to travel with because the pattern is right on the fabric. I really enjoyed this project.
