Got the blades cut and sewn. I stayed away from primary colors and contrast is not as great as it could be. Next step, borders; then quilting; finally binding. Will probably be Saturday night before I even get to borders.

Note--n2 I think one needs 36 light and 36 dark to make the nine blocks.

G, I think it looks great!! You are right -- 36 lights/36 darks are needed! What was I thinking? When you think mini, you always think fewer!! haha. I think if you were a tad darker on your dark blades, they would've stood out better!! You do need to have good contrast on this pattern as it's only 2 pieces to a section so you want one to dominate the other; otherwise, it gets lost.  It still looks nice and springy! WTG, G!! :D :D

I knew that was going to happen; anxious to see what happens when I quilt it.

"p.s. I see 2 of my fabrics!! " n2 and I have this little "I spy" game going on--in the myriad of fabrics she chooses, once in a while I see one of mine. Guess it's turnabout!

Well I've put a border on and am working a crumb outer border. If you've seen some of my posted topics--I'm crawling out of my little box on this quilt!

My second border is a crumby one. I have cut 2 foundation strips 2 1/2" wide and about 36" long. I can chain piece between the two strips with some crumbs and strips. Back to sewing!

I'm not sure how this will all look in the end. It'll be a surprise to me, too.

First border 1 1/4" cut

Here's the start of one crumby strip. the second is back at the machine
