Thread: "Practice" quilt top done

These are pictures of a quick and simple "practice" top I just finished so I can try machine quilting before I tackle quilting my first pieced top (which is a baby quilt I'm making for my niece's first child). I used a free pattern I found online for the top and I really like the fabric with the little birds and bugs! The quilting will mostly be SID on my regular sewing machine. Wish me luck with the quilting!

I love the little bugs, too! I got it at JoAnn's 3 or 4 months ago on a Red Tag sale. The selvedge says, "HEIDI GRACE DESIGNS-We are Family-Exclusively for JoAnn Fabric and Craft Stores".
