Shades required!
My latest OBW, ready to layer and quilt. The colours are so bright and intense. I've purposely kept the borders small and simple, as the piece is what you might call "busy" :D
It measures 46ins x 43ins.
This my 13th OBW, but the first with octagons. I think I prefer construction with hexagons, although I did enjoy playing with the small setting squares.
The fabric repeat was 12ins horizontal, 24ins vertical.
I'm currently putting together a hanging with the leftover blocks and setting squares....
And I have enough fabric left to make another but with hexagons.
Thanks for looking!

Wow, how gorgeous is this? I can't believe how many of these you have made. I am not that brave yet, but after seeing this I think I need to get rolling.

It is fantastic. I have 4 nearly finished UFO's to take care of then this is to be my next project. I have my fabric, but must do a little project clean up first.

I have the book, but I wondered how the block becomes a square... I did make some blocks out of some chicken fabric, not sure how I liked it.
You picked perfect fabric, I love looking at these quilts.
Enjoy the Art!
