I recently went on a "quilting" cruise--the days we were on the water, we had quilting classes. One of the teachers was Jody Barrows, who taught classes using her Square in a Square ruler. She's been using it for 20+ years and makes it look so easy, but when I tried it, my blocks didn't turn out quite as expected so they ended up in some smaller quilts.
I put backing (fleece) on seven quilts on Sunday. I have four of them quilted now. Pictures attached.

Cute quilts! I have that ruler and found that using it the outside of your blocks end up being on the bias, so need to be handled quite carefully.

Sorry--I have no idea where I found it. I often stop at quilt shops when I'm traveling (they always have clean rest room) and I usually buy something--I suspect this may have been one of those purchases.

We left from Galveston and stopped at Cozumel, Grand Cayman Island, and Jamaica (Montego Bay). It was a great cruise -- my first. My friend, who also quilts, went with me.

Google "Square in a Square" and I think you'll find info and pictures of the ruler.
