Just thought I'd take a minute to show you today's work. This will be a king size quilt for our bedroom. I plan to hand quilt it. The pattern is "Wickedly Easy" that was posted here a while ago.

Looks great ! I will have to try and find that pattern . Can't wait to see it when you have finished the hand quilting  Although if it was me hand quilting it it would be years before you saw it again

Thank you!

Here's a link (if it works) to Wickedly Easy Quilts. The hand quilting will take a while, but I do it while DH watches TV in the evenings (for hours). There won't be a lot of quilting on it either, but I like the hand-quilted look and could never get the whole thing in my machine and don't want to pay to have it machine quilted.

I'm thinking about tying it first and just taking it off the bed in the evenings when I want to work on the quilting. I've hand quilted a couple items that were already completed by tying and I decided I wanted them hand quilted.

Lovely work. That's a great idea you have, tying it then quilting it...I have been practicing my hand quilting, and I really find it very absorbing and meditative....not to mention addictive. Happy quilting.

It is very restful and those fabrics would make a nice lap quilt for a sick friend, etc. See lots of possibilities with the pattern too. Sounds like you have a good plan :D
