How did he mount it underneath? Did he attach a "box" with L brackets or something?

How hard is it to remove sewing machine???? At different times Dad and BIL wanted to put machine in antique cabinet BUT how do I get it to repair shop

He made a 2 x 4 box and mounted it completely across the table. He then put in a hole for the knee lift. Screwing it into the sides and top. I explained to him that not only was it to support the machine, it had to hold up to the vibration of the needle. He built it to last.
