This is a picture of the 10 minute block that I made from the video on UTube. I need to finish the sides and then quilt it. I tie all my quilts because I don't know how to quilt on the sewing machine. Maybe I will try it on something one day.

I love how the colors are so bold and bright, and they really tie in together...oops, tie in....I guess pun intended...lol...I have tied a few quilts, I like them, too...As far as you trying to machine quilt...this quilt would be a great one to start with...you could stitch a 1/4" away from the seams, using your 1/4" foot as the guide...it is just straight stitching, just like sewing....I know that some people say to use a walking or even feed foot for this type of quilting, and I have done that...but, I have to say that my lqs leader said she never uses the special foot, she just uses her 1/4" foot...I tried it, and it worked fine...anyways, will look great whatever you decide.

Great Job Just try machine quilting on something that doesnt mean alot You can echo quilt your block by just machine sewing around the center piece until you get to the edge

Jaylee can you explain that a bit more. I have never tried anything on the sewing machine.

Kiff, do I stitch before I sew down my back piece. In other words do I do the stitching after I attach the back and batting with it just pinned?

Good fabric choice, I love the colors. The only truly experienced quilters are the people who make quilts, and that includes you.

very bright and colorful! there is nothing wrong with tying...it is nice esp. for a baby quilt...gives the little one something to play with! I tied all of my children's quilts :)
