This is a lap quilt I made a few years ago before I started selling. I had more time then. This is 100% hand stitched. I didn't know how to use a sewing machine to quilt then. I used an invisible tie and tied at all the corners. It has held up over the years thru a lot of abuse!
My grandkids use it and it shows the wear and tear now but it cushioned the twins in the bins I used for bassinets when they were born and now they cover up with it sometimes when they stay. Some of the kids ask for it and some don't.
It is an original design by me and I call it a Trip around Nine because it is the center of a Trip Around the World with Nine patches in between.

That's because as far as I know it is my own. I have seen one on
Simply quilts that was similar but she used two rows of the "Irish Chain" part between the trips and the nines.

I have used smaller variations of it in lots of my billfolds. But that was when I was doing it all by hand and the blocks were 1/8" finished

this is a very pretty pattern, Rhonda. If this is a current pic, I would say, it has held up very well. You sure did a good job on it. :D

It's actually a pic I took of it about 4 years ago. Here is a pic I just took. It has a couple of places where it is ripped and a couple of stains. I know I should take time to deal with them but i haven't.
