That's 1500 yds of *thread*, not fabric, lol. I can't show this whole quilt because of copyright issues...let's just say it's in honor of a sports team and it's for someone I know personally to give her bf & leave it at that (so I don't get in trouble, grin!). I'm really here to show off the quilting, my best free motion attempt yet. I broke rules, started on the edges & worked my way round & round to the center. Amazingly it worked, only 2 small puckers.

This thing is a monster, it's actually made with twin sheets but covers the whole top of my full size bed (go figure). The applique came out great but took many hours to get right, it lays flat, just my rush to get final pics before delivery. Thank you for the help 2 wks ago when I was asking about how to make a pattern, I ended up hand drawing every bit of it on wrapping paper. The quilting is meandering with lots of stars thrown in.

Nice job! Honor doing these, isn't it? Love the star idea, giving me ideas for my brother's quilt to honor him and his service to our country for the last 36 1/2 yrs!

Wow, awesome accomplishment. Now if that was me starting from the outside working in I would have one large pucker in the middle. A very nice quilt I sure it will be greatly appreciated.
