Default 1600 inch jelly roll race quilt

This quilt was made with 40 2 1/2 inch x WOF strips (or one jellyroll). Selvedges were cut off. I sewed all the strips together end to end, yes, all of them! Then I cut 18" from one end. Next I found both ends and started sewing. When I was almost the opposite end, I cut the fold. The quilt is now 2 strips wide by about 800 inches. Just repeat until finished. 48x60(approx) Our group did this as a race. We started after everyone had all the strips sewn end-to-end. Mine took 53 minutes!

Second pic is a closeup of the quilting. I did an edge to edge using Hobbs 80/20 batting and Glide thread. Quilting is done on my Gammill Classic.

Thanks for looking

That is really cool. So did you win? Your quilt looks very soothing.
