This was my 1st attempt at a braid. Turned nto not a bad looking table runner. I bought a ruler to do this, so was quick and easy, no little bits to trim off.
And the best bit was I had everything there just waiting to be used. You've got to love a varied stash.

Very, very pretty. What a good idea, to do it small first :-) What kind of ruler did you use? It also seems to be good for cleaning up stash!! Thank you for sharing.

Really pretty and love the colors - it looks like a soothing reflecting pool. I've not done one of these yet. No ruler, so no attempt. But I WILL one of these days. I want one of everything - lol.

The ruler is called a rainbow ruler, made by a little LQS in Werribee,Victoria. I sat and looked at it for 2 months beofre I used it. Here's a pic of it.You must have something similar over there.

I made my own ruler. I had an idea of what it looked like and went home and played. Came up with one that works great. When hubby gets home from seeing kids, he is going to make it more permanent (I just used a file folder for practice) :)
