Default 1st Block for my BOM

Our local quilt shop is having a Quilt Block of the Month for 2017. I've never done one before and decided I would join this year. Plus I decided since I would just have to finish 1 block a month I would do them all in hand stitches.

Also thought about Trying to do each block in quilt as you go. Never tried that either. not even sure it will even work.

Well here's my first months block . I picked Christmas colors, since I don't have a quilt for Christmas. The shop gives you the pattern and fabric each month for $4.95. Just started block 2. Love hand stitching.

Just fabulous! I love how you did the shading to give it an extra dimension. I'm looking forward to seeing more of your blocks.

That's beautiful. You're going to have a beautiful Christmas quilt when it's finished.
