    Default 1st Quilt, Christmas Redwork

This is my first attempt at a quilt. The quilt pattern is from McCall's Quick Quilts magazine, January 2002 called Hard Candy by Maria Umhey. I added the Redwork designs in the snowball and although I am happy with the way the front turned out, my quilting on my small Brother sewing machine leaves a lot to be desired. The quilt although only 60" x 60" was too big to quilt and move smoothly through the machine. I started it in February and just finished. The Redwork were designs downloaded from Free Coloring Pages on the internet and sized to fit. I gave them to my co-workers, one is blue and one red.

That is so neat. I love it. I am doing a Redworks "Christmas Twitterings Quilt" from e-Central Pattern. I opt to use fabric paint to speed up the process. Not working out to well. Thanks for sharing.
