How generous of you! I know how foster kids go to a new home with hardly anything, as my parents were fostering lots of kids throughout my younger years. I remember how my mom and dad would take them shopping and one little girl who came with virtually nothing was taken on her first night with us. Dad said she was in the seat in the cart and was just kind of "there". When she realized these things were for her, she brightened up and started "helping". She was only 2 years old and had already been saddened by the system. But it didn't take long for her to feel loved with all of us around to faun all over her. She was a doll! And she probably hadn't been getting enough to eat, because her first meal at out house was spaghetti...she scarfed that down and was covered in it, but it seemed to help cheer her a little...till the shopping trip at least. So happy to hear you are part of making these kids lives happier, and letting them know that someone out there cares. I'm going to work on about a dozen panels in the next couple of weeks with a friend when i go to visit her and will get some for Project Linus done so I can turn them in. Thank you!!
