Cute quilts... Do those children live there? You would think one of those neighbors with the perfectly manicured lawns would help that family get their yard cut so those kids would have a safe place to play!

My Grandson visits me quite often , and the little girl belongs to a friend of my daughter. That is a flower bed and the grass is getting out of hand this year. It has been too hot and rainy to get them all cleaned up. My neighbors would rather have grass than flowers, but I get so many people stopping on the edge of the road and telling me they love my flowers.

"Sadie's Dream for a Cure" is a group that offers help for pediatric cancer patients. They make bags filled with items like toothbrushes, toothpaste and other essential items. It also comes with fun items for the children, toys and such.
They send out a pattern and fabric for making the bag and sending it back to them. You can also use your own fabric to make more. I just received mine and I am excited to get it done. Obviously, quilts would be a welcomed item, as well. Pediatric cancer is the number one cause of death by disease in children. The website is www.sadiesdreamforacure.org. Think what a difference we could make if we all made a quilt or bag for this very needy organization.
