Default Quick...finish it before the snow all melts...

My goal was to finish this before all the snow melted. I only have one big pile left in my yard and that is where the kids made a 10' snowman. I finished trimming the threads this morning. It is the first time I have used my embroidery machine to do the quilting.

My friend actually did the Irish chain for me (I asked her to make a few tops for me since I'm selling her a sewing machine for the work--no money exchanging hands--). I spent quite a few hours doing the embroidery, and thought I would hate it when I was finished but I don't. I almost stopped after the first snowman but my husband assured me it looked fine!

I got the designs from www.emblibrary.com and used my Janome 350E and Janome Horizon 12000.

This one isn't for charity--it's for our family!

It's for our home! Maybe one of my kids (we have 5) but it's not a charity quilt.

Great job - I keep saying I am going to try that. Maybe this will give me a kick in the rear to get going. Thanks for sharing
