Red face 20 Year Old First Quilt!

This is a picture of my first quilt I made 20 years ago.

I had no sewing machine and wanted to learn how to quilt.

I had no one to show me the way.

I gave myself the challenge of making an entire full size quilt by hand.

It took me several months, but once done, I was hooked.

My family saw what I had done and that X-mas they surprised me with my first sewing machine.

See how well my quilt is held up after so long?

I'm proud of my first work of art and so are the kids. My eldest is the one holding it up and the pic. She keeps reminding me that it's not for sale. LOL

Until next time.

Happy quilting,

Well that quilt did hold up well, and it's a good thing because it's a beautiful quilt

What a beautiful quilt and a great job! I don't think I would have ever quilted if I had to do it all by hand. I'm looking forward to seeing some more of your quilts.

I love your quilt. It looks so soft and comfortable. Have you made any more on the machine?

Isn't it great that your kids cherish what you do? The quilt is so soft and feminine looking. What a treasure!
