That is just an AWESOME quilt. What a wonderful job you have done on it. I hope you raise loads of money for it.

Small world isn't it? Do you still have family here? I first practiced on a smaller piece, and will be making that into a wall hanging. It actually got pretty good because of the good advice I received from this site. This year Schuylkill Haven will be hosting the 'Sch County Firemens Convention" & I thought perhaps I would give the wall hanging to them , hopefully to raise a little money to defray costs of hosting that . .

If anyone is interested in making some to give they are so in need. I do it through The Twilight Brigade. It is a group of volenteers that makes sure no veteran dies alone. They have never had a quilt donated to them before I sent mine so if you feel the love try it. Tell Jill Cece sent you. [email protected].

Yes, my Mom still lives in the house we all grew up in. I get home about four times a year. Miss the region, but have very fond memories of the Firemen's Conventions and the parades. I am sure Sch, Haven would LOVE the wall hanging. That is the wonderful thing of growing up in the Skook, seems the folks really appreciate the effort someone like yourself, has put into a project. Have found that not many regions of the country are quite like our region.

I'm confident many fire fighters will bid on the quilt, it's lovely.

This quilt is outstanding!!! I was wondering if you would consider doing one similar to this to do as a raffle or silent auction to benefit the 19 Granite Mountain Hotshots who lost their lives batteling the Yarnell Hill Fire 6/30/13? If it is something you are interested in please contact me and we can discuss some things. I could help with the cost but I am just learning to quilt so something like this is way beyond my ability. Thanks Lisa [email protected]
