This is the 2nd Mei Tai (baby carrier) I have made. I think I am actually going to look for a pattern just cause I think there might be a better way to assemble. I tried different machine quilting on this one. I actually did circles!! Oh well, I wasn't really happy with it, but the friend I am making it for will love it no matter what. I actually made her a quilt earlier (2nd picture in link below) and found the same fabric so I could make them coordinating!

I made one like this 40 years ago, for my first daughter. Used it more for second daughter. One tied on, the other by the hand. That's how I managed two little ones. Now they have lots of fancy carriers, but this worked just fine for me.

The strap at the bottom of the picture, folds up and ties around your waist. I kinda makes a little pocket for them to sit in.

Great job, I might make my Niece one to carry her baby in. I think she will like something like that.
