Wow! You really did it. I've collected all the patterns...but I think I'm going to do their block of the week. Bigger blocks, less work (I hope). Your quilt is truly an wonderful treasure. Congratulations!

This is amazing and beautiful! Can someone please share the back story of this quilt? Others seem to know and recognize it but I'm out of the loop on this one.

suern - last year Kathryn Kerr ran a 356 block (block a day) challenge. Each day she posted a different block (plus some bonus ones) to make this quilt.

She's doing it again this year - same quilt. So if you are interested, you can search 365 block challenge to find it. I'm not posting a link becuase I know last year it got removed from not meeting rules for this site. You don't have to sign up, you can go to the site every day and download the pattern for free. I think she keeps them up for 3 months, so you have time.

You can sign up to get emails, and there are some facebook pages, but that is not required to participate.

I found it was a great skill builder for me - since I've only been making quilts for three years now.

OMG! I wondered if anyone kept up with them. I've been collecting the blocks all year but knew I couldn't start a project like that this year. I reacted the same way just LOOKING at some of those 3" blocks! Yours is stunning! WOW! WOW! WOW!

Beautiful quilt! So involved--sure you do need a break from it for awhile! How do you plan to quilt?

the blocks are only 3 inches? That is smaller than a Dear Jane......I'm very impressed!

That's a lot of good work! In my opinion, waiting to quilt is a good idea, so it feels fresh as you go with it.
