Not much of in a sewing mood I wanted to go for something easy and tried this gift box.............it took me 3 hours till the darn wrapping bands matched!? Its a 12" block and I paper pieced wasting a lot of fabric - only say one thing: mirror image!
BTW I am the one with the pp 6" miniquilts

finally done I thought it does not really look 3D so I wanted to try to outline the edges with a decorating stitch. Still had enough brain left to change the stitching plate only to start a decorating stitch with the 1/4" quilting foot slamming the needle into pieces!?
Gave up that idea as it does not look good and figured that adding a bow will do the job.

Any good idea on how to work that bow??
Thanks for listening
Granny

It looks 3d from Louisiana! I love the block. I wish I could help with the bow but I can't. Just wanted to tell you that you do such beautiful work. Some days it seems like everything fight me, too. Hang in there!

If you want dimension a 3-D pinwheel might be cute.

Could you do a form of a yo yo maybe? With little ribbons coming out from underneath. It's really neat looking though! Great job!

Venting helped - thank you all so much.

Changed the stitchplate back and reattached the 1/4" foot AND SLAMMED THE NEXT NEEDLE as I still was on the deco stitch!
I figured just to do it as simple as possible and the way I do it on a real gift box. I like it and hopefully it will find its place on the three skirt.

Yoyo would be a great idea, will have to try it out.
